A sunny August day finds this mosquito hawk taking in the shade on
the road near Parker Creek. This was my most difficult subject -
it kept moving with me to see what I was doing. Finally got a good
profile shot before it moved again.

Had an even better shot at Salt Creek Falls on a July day.
This Blue-eyed Darner was still for a long time - allowing for a better closeup.

Habitat: open lowlands
Season: June to October
