Lower Jackson Falls is west of Portland.

Directions:

  1. At exit 59 on HWY 26, west of Portland, turn north onto Jackson School Road
  2. Travel this road for one mile
  3. Turn right onto West Union
  4. Travel this road for 0.7 miles
  5. Turn left onto NW Jackson Quarry Rd
  6. Travel this road for 2.3 miles (last 1.2 miles on a section with no center stripe in a residential area)
  7. At a left curve in the road, marked by a large arrow, turn right into the quarry and park
  8. To reach the falls climb up the high berm and follow the creek upstream
To get to the falls you will have to zigzag across the creek in a few places.
Hiking distance is about 1/4 mile. Watch for slippery rocks.
