Spring Azure in Flight with Shadow below

Profile view with wings up & a view while walking on my left pants leg (see the blue area of the right wing?)
Note the small repeated black stripes on the antennae.
At the place where Wheelock Creek falls into Drift Creek I found some blue butterflies.
These are small butterflies (1" across) that move their wings rapidly
to get from point A to point B. I caught a single frame with my camera
just as the wings shifted position. The body is well focused with just a
slight amount of motion blur at the wingtips.
Habitat: woodland openings
Season: April - June
