Big Alder Creek Falls is a road-side cataract east of Sweethome.
GPS N44º 27.146', W122º 33.11', Elevation above sea level 1070 ft.
Directions:

From I-5 exit onto Hwy 20 and head east towards Lebanon
At milepost 33 east of Sweethome turn left onto Green Peter Dam/
Quartzville Road (reset your trip odometer)
After 5 miles on Quartzville Road park at the entrance to Green Peter Dam on the right
Walk up Quartville Road a few feet further on the left side and listen for the sound of water

There is an overabundance of blackberry vines - carry bandages.
There are picnic and camping areas along Quartzville Road and HWY20.
